A scene from the 2010 British Car Open Field at

Lemon Creek Winery

2010 NIAHC Show

Our 15th Annual British Car Field Day and Wine Festival at Lemon Creek Winery was a bit soggy, but we had a great time anyway. Thanks to the 45 British Car die-hards, the show still went on. The weather broke for a few hours but that didn't stop the wine from flowing. Great food and tunes by the Bel Aires from Ft Wayne added much relief as well. I think next year we'll be back to our normal 90 to 100 cars.

The next NIAHC British Car Open Field Day is Saturday 10 September 2011 --- mark your calendar..

The location is changed to The Round Barn Winery in Baroda, Michigan.

What could be better than relaxing on a beautiful fall afternoon, sampling great wine, beer or spirIts, listening to live rockabilly music by the “BelAirs” from Fort Wayne and viewing over 100 of your favorite British cars. Well...I can't think of anything else, but a chance to win a great raffle items like Garmin GPS and much more.

So don't delay, download your registration and send it in by August 15th.

The Nineteenth Annual Springthing 2010 was presented by the Bluegrass Austin-Healey Club May 13th through the 16th. This year’s event was a journey through the rolling hills of Kentucky while enjoying the hospitality of distilleries along the bourbon trail. Five cars from NIAHC participated, driven by : Jack and Nancy, John and Rita, Jack and Ann, Al, Lou and Carol. Tim and Gary drove a BJ9 Truck, they were a lovely couple. Ann's sister and brother-in-law from Oregon hooked up and traveled with the group. Also in tow were Ann's two daughters and son-in-law.

While newer cars are built to tolerate burning corn mixed with gasoline , cars of our vintage can be impacted by ethanol. Ethanol can damage various materials like aluminum, plastics and rubber.

If you’re concerned here is a link that may be a benefit: pure-gas.org provides a list of ethanol-free gas stations in the U.S. and Canada.
