Another great Healey Cruise through Michigan Wine Country!  October 14-15, 2020

15 members and 8 cars cruised back roads and stops along the way to

enjoy great wine, food and Healey fellowship.

First stop was brunch at Oaks Eatery downtown Three Oaks. After brunch some of us visited Driers Butcher Shop. In 1972 it was listed on the National registry,

of Historic Places.  The

Oaks Eatery, the best Huevos Rancheros ever!

Next stop on to historical Stover's Farm Market. Built by Herny Heim  a lumberman in 1865 and weighs in at 150 ton.  This is also on the list of Historical Places. Move to its current location in Berrien Springs in 1990 by the Stover's.

Of course we had to have a awesome group picture slated for the "Marque" (Coming soon),  In attendance,  left to right, Jack and Ann Overley, Jon and Peg Bill, Lou and Carol Hoekstra, Al Malin, taking the pic and June Malin with Renee and Tim not in the pic Mahnensmith, Mark and Anna Firnhaber, John and Rita Eslinger, and Pete Van Blaricum.

Next stop Chill Hill Winery in Baroda, Michigan. They had a great sampling of Wines and Hard Ciders all with a Chill atmosphere and a beach good vibe!

Off to Benton Harbor along RED Arrow Highway to Vineyard 2121 This winery was Fantastic! for only being 6 years old. We had a very relaxing Churcuterie Experience, of Meats, Cheese Fruits, Pickles, Olives and Breads. As Pete would say "It was "OFF THE HOOK" not to mention some of the best wine in Southwest Michigan.

After hour and a half or so  at VY2121 we head to our Hotel. But along the way Yep, flat tire on the side off the road. Jack Overley got into a roofing nail and these guys Lou, Mark and Jack had it changed and back on the road in 7 minutes. NICE JOB!

We pulled in to the newly remodeled Comfort Inn at 5:50. Just had enough time to check-in  and off we went again to dinner around 6:30 at La Cantina Italian Ristorante on Maple Lake in Paw Paw.

A familiar Sight!

Next morning found us at the "TeaPot Dome" restaurant for a awesome breakfast.

After breakfast we all said fair wells to Jack and Ann, back to Marshall and Jon and Peg back to Auburn. The rest of us went on to the Village Shoppes in New Carlisle about an 1-1/2 away for a little shopping and a few more pork shops if you know what I mean!

We all look forward to meeting again on the back roads of Northern Indiana and  Southern Michigan
